After years of passionate work, Cesare manages to combine his innate talent and his invaluable technical background and style, inherited from father Vincenzo, and an important additional expertise: an entrepreneurial and organisationally cuttingedge vision, able to preserve the value of purely manual labor and craftsmanship, typical of the shop, while making it more efficient.
So when his children begin to have the potential to help him, in terms of age and skills acquired, Cesare decided to return to Naples to finally set up his own activity. Still, needless to say, in the wake of the extraordinary family tradition of tailoring. We are in the second half of the eighties. It opens in Casalnuovo, a town near Naples historically recognised as the birthplace of the finest Neapolitan tailors, a laboratory of considerable dimensions. Confidence in their own ability, in the deep culture of knowledge and know-how, is immense. Just as the tireless dedication is, with which the sons, representatives of the third generation of the family, join their father.
Over time, even not much long to say the truth, the competence and managerial skills of the two increase and side by side, growing year by year, they receive significant signs of appreciation from the Italian market, and especially the International market.
Today, 130 tailors produce only with the help of scissors, thimbles, needles and threads, 50 dresses a day, ignoring the higher demand coming from the market. Because the sense of uniqueness that each piece has to bring with it, coming out of the Attolini laboratory, is essential and the quality that underpins all stages of handwork is an unquestioned dogma.
The tireless pursuit of excellence leads Massimiliano and Giuseppe to personally select the best fabrics around. The choice is mainly between the Scottish, English, Irish and Italians yarn, from the finest wools to the purest cashmeres. But not all the colours and designs are carried exclusively on their indication, in order to constantly revive the distinctive style of Neapolitan maison. “In our work - says Massimiliano - the essential guide is first of all the quality of fabrics and cuts. On closer look, perhaps the secret is simply that of succeeding with simplicity and ease in the difficult work of synthesis between tradition and modernity. The result of this synthesis is that balance and harmony that is felt every time you wear one of our garments”. 25 years after the inauguration of the new course, Cesare Attolini is a tailor brand, very Italian and International at the same time, in the laboratory of which garments are forged exclusively “handmade”. A melting pot of style as worn by the men coming from all latitudes who wish to retain the character of their elegance unique.
A laboratory of taste where creativity and wisdom bind in a wonderful combination that is prodigious to say the least. A place where the term luxury is a verb, an active, lively word not meaning ostentation but a unique, intense, discrete experience based on shared values. Above all, there is significant customization. The perception of a real use able to satisfy the desire of owning something that has been designed with you and made just for you.
